Located in Walt Disney World Resort at the amazing Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Citrico's is a unique Signature Dinning Restaurant located on the second floor of the main Building.
Another perk here to remember is that we had a great view of the night time fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. We were pleasingly surprised as this added bonus hadn't crossed our mind.
After settling in, we ordered drinks and entry's. They do boast a full bar, and amazing wine list. We chose the Strawberry Basil Mule with ginger beer and Golden Margarita. Both drinks were flavorful and well mixed.
For our first entree, we had the Florida Red Snapper with Mashed Fingerling Potatoes. With Mussels, Clams and Shrimp, with Mediterranean dish was a delight. Filled with savory seafood flavor, this entree was amazing and filling.
Our second entree was the Oak Grilled Fillet with Potato Puree, Broccolini and Cipollini Jam. Cooked to well as requested, this steak was fantastic and flavorful. Meat was tender, well done, but not overdone or dried out.
Our final entree was the Pumpkin -Scallop Risoto. Parmesan Risotto with Pumpkin, Sage and Maple Syrup. This dish was visually appealing as well as full of sweet and savor flavors. It was creamy and filling. The Sea Scallop
For Desert we got the Chocolate Hazelnut Bar, The Warm Chocolate Banana Torte, and Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee. All three were a nice ending to a amazing meal. All were made to order and you could tell.
The only shortcoming of your entire evening was our server. While he was by no means a bad waiter, he had no idea or knowledge of the wine list. In a restaurant of this caliber, this is unacceptable. Based on their wine list, he should have been well versed. While this was a let down, it would not keep us from coming back. Other items made up for this, but we did want to let you know.
To sum up. This was a dinning experience. The courses were well timed, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The food was fresh and flavorful and the deserts were a perfect ending.
