Where can you eat at a Table Service EPCOT Restaurant? The CORAL REEF RESTAURANT.
The CORAL REEF RESTAURANT is located in WALT DISNEYS WORLD EPCOT PARK, in FLORIDA. This location is a unique themed restaurant experience for the whole family to enjoy. Coral reef dining is considered a table service and an excellent place for food and relaxation. This EPCOT Restaurant is a best place to eat in EPCOT venue.
This venue offers you casual dining attire for an upscale ambiance. They also recommend that you make dinner reservations to get a table for your family. You will need to make sure you have a park reservation to get in EPCOT to use your restaurant reservation. Finally, be sure to give an accurate count for your party. This number includes young children and infants. This information will ensure that the Coral Reef Staff can have a prime table ready for your fantastic diner at the Coral Reef Restaurant. The Coral Reef restaurant's location is located adjacent to the aquarium, in the same building as the Finding Nemo ride experience. This location also makes this EPCOT Bar and Restaurant one of the best places to eat in EPCOT.
The coral reef restaurant is adjoined to the live living functional aquarium in the same building. The real-life exotic sea life is memorizing to watch in their habitat. The sea life, such as Sea Turtles, big Sharks, and colorful fish, live in their colorful coral life. This sea life goes about their own business, and there are even a few inhabitants who will stop to say hi and let you take a picture.
There is one whole wall that is the aquarium, which gives a significant wow factor. The decor of the restaurant is designed in a rolling wave, which pulls you in even more. The lighting was selected very well, and it's not so harsh to take away from the atmosphere, but it is still bright enough so you can read the menu. This location is a very spacious restaurant, making it very easy for wheelchair accessibility throughout the whole building. The coral reef is open for lunch and dinner, and this WALT DISNEYS WORLD restaurant has a full bar. Yes, a great EPCOT Bar location.
The choices for foods are more than just seafood. They have chicken, steak, vegetarian options, organic dishes, hearty, healthy dishes, and fabulous desserts.
On our last visit to the Coral Reef Restaurant, it reopened with a new system. We had no problems getting a table as we had reservations for the restaurant. Additionally, we had no issues retrieving a park a reservation as EPCOT is typically one of the more comfortable Theme Parks to reserve. The Coral Reef Restaurant is a fantastic experience that is the perfect location for sitting down, relaxing, and grab an excellent drink and meal while watching the fish. We will be giving you prices in this article. Please note that these don't include tax or gratuity.
We started with specialty cocktails. I ordered the BLOOD ORANGE MARGARITA made with Sauza Conmemorativo Anejo Tequila, Cointreau, Lime Juice, and Blood Orange Sour. The price for this colorful and tasty drink was $14.00. This cocktail was blended well and strong. Perfect for helping us settle back and watch the fish.
Next, we got the Watermelon Margarita. This Specialty Margarita was made with Patron Silver Tequila, Watermelon, and lime juice. The price of this is $14.00. This tasty drink was also blended perfectly and was very satisfying.
The third cocktail from our EPCOT Bar at the Coral Reef was called the BAHAMA MAMA. This tropical drink was a combination of Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Plantation Original Dark Rum, Bols Crème de Banana, and Tropical Juices. The price of this perfect cocktail was $13.00. This drink was smooth and strong and fit well with our saltwater location.
We decided not to have appetizers, but they looked and sounded fabulous. We decided to order our entrees from the reduced menu. Keep in mind while this menu was reduced from its standard list of offerings, it did have an item to satisfy almost any customer.
I ordered the SHRIMP and GRITS.
This dish is a combination of Sauteed Shrimp, Cheddar cheese Grits, Local Corn Succotash, Andouille Sausage, and Creole Spiced Emulsion. I was blown away by this dish. It was over the top and full of fantastic flavor. The dish was loaded with shrimp, and the Andouille sausage was all perfectly seasoned and cooked beautifully. These cheddar cheese grits were smooth and very flavorful and a favorite of our table. I was concerned about the price, but the portion size filled the plate, enough so that all three of us shared this dish.

The second entrée ordered was the SEARED MAHI MAHI.
SEARED Mahi Mahi consisted of Jasmine Rice, Coconut, and Cilantro-Lime Sauce, Caribbean Shrimp Salsa. The Mahi Mahi fish was cooked perfectly so that it was light and flaky. Additionally, the Jasmine rice was cooked to perfection, done just right, coconut, and Cilantro-lime sauce flavors, and the whole dish fabulous. Finally, the Caribbean shrimp Salsa was the perfect complement for the dish and covered the plate's top. The price of this entrée costs $31.00.
The third entrée ordered was the 10-oz Slow-Roasted Grilled Rib-Eye.
The 10-oz Slow-Roasted Grilled Rib-Eye came with Loaded Mashed Potatoes with Bacon and Bercy Butter. This dish, while it had great flavor, was a little disappointing. We ordered the Rib-Eye rare, and when it came out to the table, it was well done. The presentation was well executed but not cooked to the temperature ordered did leave us disappointed. The price of this entrée cost was $34.00.
For information on kids, they have choices such as Kids can create-your-own Entrees. This option gives kids different options, like chicken steak, and more. They also have ALLERGY options, which is always a concern in any of the Walt Disney World Restaurants. Please notify your server immediately upon arrival so they can make the chef aware.
WE choose not to get desserts because we were full. The desserts look fabulous, and we look forward to trying them in the future. We had a great experience and would recommend the CORAL REEF RESTAURANT The experience of the massive living aquarium and the excellent quality food combined with our server's service made this a great location to get out of the heat. This EPCOT Restaurant is a best place to eat in EPCOT. Even though our prime rib was overcooked, other parts of the experience outweighed this oversite. Next time you are looking for a best place to eat in EPCOT, consider the Coral Reef Restaurant. You can usually get a reservation quite quickly as most guests go to EPCOT for the World Showcase experience. This choice makes the Coral Reef a perfect venue to get out of the heat.
