Where to Find Moonshine and Great Food in Disney Springs? Chef Art Smith's Homecomin!!

Today we're back at Disney Springs for another night of great food and incredible drinks. Tonight's list is Chef Art Smith's Restaurant, Homecoming Restaurant, and the Shine Bar. Located in the Landing Disney Springs, this is one of the best places to eat at Disney Springs. Smith's Restaurant features food and dishes that are native to Florida and takes pride in the ingredients to create these dishes. This Shine Restaurant offers such favorites as Catfish, Macaroni and Cheese, Biscuits to die for, Hush Puppies, and Many other Southern Favorites, including their famous and not missed Fried chicken.

This homestyle laid back Shine Restaurant is located on the Edge of the Landing Disney Springs. It is situated on one of the spring between Morimoto's and D-Luxe Burger. The inviting Shine Restaurant offers you interior seating, seating on the porch, seating at the interior Disney Springs Bar, and finally on the patio out at the exterior Shine Bar.

For added enjoyment, during the recent remodel, a patio and outside bar ( Shine Bar ) were added to offer you more seating to enjoy Smith's Restaurant and Bar. The Shine Bar itself is the only Disney Springs Bar centered around Moonshine. Yes, the Shine Bar serves Moonshine, many versions to be enjoyed while seated on the patio or to go. The Shine Bar even has an outside bar for you to-go purchases. This fantastic Disney Springs Bar is a location you need to try.

Now you know where the Homecoming Restaurant is and that you can enjoy southern fare food and Moonshine, let's take a closer look at the food and drinks we chose. The food here at Homecoming Restaurant qualifies for the best place to eat at Disney Springs.

First, Let's take a more detailed look at our Moonshine. We tried a total of three different versions from the Shine Bar. These Moonshines can only be found here at Smith's Restaurant and Bars located at the Landing Disney Springs.

-Moonshine Margarita-

-Tequila, Moonshine with a splash of -fresh-squeezed orange and lime (16-oz or 22-oz)- Very Flavorful Margarita Moonshine was my choice, and my favorite. These 16 oz drinks pack a lot of pop, so be careful. These cocktails are more extensive than most you will find in Disney Springs Restaurants.

-Blue Hooch-

The Blue Hooch was undoubtedly the prettiest drink on the table and also the strongest by far. This light blue drink is a high-test lemonade. This drink was beautiful and lethal, but oh so enjoyable.

-Blue Flame moonshine, lemon-infused Moonshine, -blue curaçao, house-made simple syrup, -fresh lemon juice, and a splash of Sprite®. -Our strongest shine on tap (16-oz or 22-oz)-

-Rumshine Punch-

Banana, Pineapple, Blackberry, and strawberry, this fruity tropical Moonshine is smooth and boasts of the fruits incorporated into these fantastic drinks.

Strawberry RumShine,- blackberry brandy, banana liqueur, -pineapple juice, and house-made grenadine (16-oz or 22-oz)

Now that we've got our drinks here at one of the best Disney Springs Bars let's move on to the food. We had three dinners that all totally differed, so we got an excellent feeling for the overall Homecoming Restaurant Menu.

First, we had the Chopped Pork Barbecue Plate. This full-sized plate, which we had a hard time finishing, included a baked macaroni and cheese that was very flavorful. This dish is our favorite way to cook mac and cheese with the perfect crispy topping. Meanwhile, the spicy barbecue pork melted in your mouth, and the flavor didn't disappoint. Finally, this meal was all topped with a cheddar-drop biscuit to bring it all home. All of this for just $26

Next was the Catfish. We really couldn't eat at a restaurant specializing in Southern Fare without getting the Fried Catfish. This fish was fried to perfection with a Golden Brown Batter that remained crispy throughout the entire meal. Two huge pieces of fish left us full and satisfied. Hushpuppies, fries complimented the dish, and a remoulade sauce to compliment the catfish. This dish was entirely worth the $23 price tag.

Our final choice, believe it or not, was a salad with grilled chicken. Yup, The Harvest Salad with Grilled Chicken, avocado, and House-made Hushpuppies was our final dish. This salad was a perfect choice, light, and healthy. Lots of flavors came out of the fire-roasted red peppers and shredded white cheddar cheese. All of this topped with the house-made Balsamic Salad Dressing. All this for $18. The price was just right.

The three meals that we chose were a perfect combination of foods illustrating southern cooking and ingredients. I know we didn't get the fried chicken. This chicken is what Homecomin's is known for, so we chose to get items that might reveal a weakness or two in the kitchen. As we discovered, no weaknesses here, the food was terrific, and we were so full we had to take dessert to go.

For dessert, we did grab the house specialties. We took home the Hummingbird Cake and the Hamilton County Chocolate Pecan Pie.

The Hummingbird Cake is an excellent and famous banana-pineapple cake with lots of cream cheese frosting, a seasonal gastrique, and a big scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. Sooo good. Sweet with a significant offset of the pineapple. This cake truly is a favorite. It is reasonably priced at just $12.

Our other choice was the Hamilton County Chocolate Pecan Pie. As always, this dark, sweet and thick pecan pie is just what Gram made for Sunday Dinner. This recipe comes to us from the Smith Family and has been prepared with care for 100 years. Top it with vanilla bean- ice cream, and you now have a fantastic combination. $11.00
